"My interests in politics and public adminstration has brought me into this sector. My personal experience as an educator made me believe in the potential of every child and in an education that will unlock it towards the development of self and society. Teach For India is a learning organisation that provides me space and support to explore two challenges I am excited about: getting the strongest candidates to become teachers and strenghtning the teacher-student relationship."
Ashwath joined the Teach For India Fellowship in 2012. He worked as a full time Teacher for two years in a Public-Private Partnership school in Pune. Post his Fellowship, he was part of the Pune City Operations team leading the Government Relations vertical for three years. He is currently working on Firki, our Teacher Education Platform that is providing a one-stop space for all Teacher needs in the form of courses, resources, mentors, and learning groups.
